The Galway City Council must install a yellow box at the entrance to Wellpark Grove so that locals can exit onto the main road.
This is the view of Independent councillor Terry O’Flaherty. She said she has received “many complaints” from Wellpark Grove residents regarding this problem.
“The problems residents are experiencing began when the shopping centre at the Moneenageisha roundabout was constructed,” said Cllr O’Flaherty. “Now with the new traffic signal lights this has worsened and something needs to be done to alleviate the current situation urgently.”
She believes the city council must take “urgent action immediately” and instal a yellow box to help motorists exit onto the main road, in particular when they are taking a right turn onto the Wellpark road.
