New Infiniti FX37 Crossover Paris Motor Show

Infiniti is the luxury car division of Nissan, in a similar way that Lexus is to Toyota. The brand was born in late 1989 when sales started in North America. Over the years, sales spread to many Asian markets, the Middle East, and also Russia and Ukraine.

Carlos Ghosn, the president and CEO of Nissan Motor Co Ltd., unveiled Infiniti’s arrival in Europe at the Geneva Motor Show last March. The official launch is scheduled for late this year and will be phased over a two year period as Infiniti rolls out its operations across 21 European countries, including Ireland.

In the immediate future, Infiniti will be opening new doors in Paris at the International Motor Show, and the first Infiniti Centre in Europe which will open to the public from the start of October on the Avenue de Versailles.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city at the motor show, the Infiniti FX37 performance crossover receives its global show launch following the reveal of its more powerful FX50S sibling seven months ago at the Geneva Motor Show.

The 320bhp FX37, available in FX37 GT and FX37S versions, will accelerate from zero to 62mph in 6.8 seconds and onto a top speed of 145mph. Standard equipment on the FX37 GT includes 20 inch alloys, scratch shield paint, all-wheel drive, seven-speed auto with paddle shift, leather upholstery with electric as well as ventilated front seats, cornering xenon headlights, parking camera and sensors - to name just a few examples.

The FX37S adds 21 inch alloys, continuous damping control and sports seats. More on Infiniti closer to it arriving here.
