Romanian music will fill the mediaeval surrounds of St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church this Saturday at 8pm when the ConTempo Quartet and Alexander Balanescu join forces.
The concert, part of the Galway Arts Festival will see the popular Galway Ensemble in Residence and violinist-composer Balanescu play music from the latter’s latest album Maria T , inspired by the Romanian folk-singer and actress Maria Tanase.
