Renault has revealed its future range of fully-electric light commercial vehicles set to arrive in Ireland in 2026.
The new 'Estafette', 'Goelette', and 'Trafic' e-Tech electric vans are built around the Software Defined Vehicle (SDF ) architecture developed by Ampere. The three new small electric vehicles are a result of a collaboration with Flexis, the independent group founded by Renault Group, Volvo Group and CMA CGM Group.
The fourth-generation model of the highly successful 'Trafic' features contemporary proportions and a one-box design.
It has a short front overhang and extended wheelbase, with wheels positioned at the corners to maximise interior space while maintaining a turning circle equivalent to that of a Renault Clio.
It is less than 1.90 metres tall for easy access to underground car parks. Its overall appearance closely reflects Renault's new design cues, with flowing, structured lines.
A historic Renault LCV, the 'Goelette' E-Tech electric will be available in three versions: chassis cab, box and tipper, paving the way for a wide choice of conversions.
The rear section has no specific equipment, as it has been designed for a range of fittings and customised features, with structural parts able to accommodate a box or other configurations tailored to specific user requirements. It will also be available with or without a running board.
The 'Estafette' E-Tech electric is a contemporary reboot of Renault's 1960s van. It is 5.27 metres long, 1.92 metres wide, and 2.60 metres high, allowing for easy movement between the cockpit and cargo area.
It features a large three-piece panoramic windscreen for greater visibility. Running boards on both sides make it easier to get in and out of the vehicle, for more ergonomic use. At the rear, a single-piece roller shutter door optimises the load space.
Further details, such as driving range, powertrains, and pricing, will be revealed in the coming months.
The three vehicles will be built in France at the Sandouville plant, and are set to arrive on the European market from 2026.
