Pricing has been revealed for the latest generation of the Volkswagen Transporter that has officially arrived in Ireland.
Prices start at €39,265 for the Trendline model and €42,985 for the PanAmericana model. A five-year warranty, five-year servicing, and five-year roadside assistance package is also included.
Voklswagen Commercial Ireland also confirmed that a fully-electric model of the new Transporter will be available from €53,695 after SEAI grant. It will arrive here in March with an eHybrid version coming at a later date.
The stowage volume in the panel-van Transporter has increased by more than 10 per cent to 5.8 m3. The maximum payload of up to 1.33 tonnes (an extra 0.13t ) corresponds to the higher load volume. Volkswagen has also increased the maximum trailer weight by 0.3 tonnes, which now reaches up to 2.8 tonnes (braked, with 12 per cent gradient ). There's a choice of three TDI engines with outputs of 110hp, 150hp and 170hp.
Paul Hunt, brand director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Ireland has hailed the new Transporter for bringing "more versatility, efficiency and choice than ever".
"The addition of a state-of-the-art cockpit and driver assistance features, added space, greater towing capacity and a bigger payload, brings it to the next level," added Hunt.
