A celebration of the music of Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra takes place at Monroe's Live on Friday, March 14, with doors opening at 9pm.
Presented by The Group, this tribute features five-part vocal harmonies and a live string section, capturing the orchestral sound that made ELO a global phenomenon.
Formed in Birmingham in 1970, the Electric Light Orchestra was the brainchild of multi-instrumentalists Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood, along with drummer Bev Bevan.
Their vision was to merge modern rock with classical arrangements and, on the night, the audience can expect renditions of classics like 'Evil Woman', 'Last Train to London', 'Showdown', and 'Mr. Blue Sky'.
