A city resource centre is renting out meeting rooms and offices on a short term basis, which it believes may appeal to clients in the current uncertain financial climate.
Westside Resource Centre at Seamus Quirke Road, a community based organisation with charitable status, provides high quality serviced office accommodation to community, voluntary, not-for-profit, charitable and educational organisations.
Resource centre manager, James Coyne, says the facility is seeking additional occupants and is hopeful of attracting more charitable groups, statutory agencies and educational providers interested in delivering services to the Westside area, especially, but also in the city.
The centre currently provides permanent office accommodation for Westside Community Development Project, Big Brother Big Sister, GOAL, Galway Rape Crisis Centre - Fundraising Section, Galway Advocacy Service, Life Ireland Pregnancy Care and Westside crèche and pre school. It also provides regular meeting space to numerous other local and national groups.
“We are now in a position to offer a number of different sized offices and meeting rooms. In the present uncertain financial climate potential clients may be looking for the flexibility of a short term lease so that they can adjust their expenditure in line with fluctuating funding streams. We are in a strong position to meet these needs and we provide a range of useful services which allows our tenants to focus on delivering their own core service whiles we take care of the premises.
“We work with all our tenants and regular bookers to promote their activities and our ongoing commitment is to provide a professional service while still maintaining a supportive community atmosphere and ethos.”
Westside Resource Centre has a number of meeting rooms which can be booked hourly or daily. These are ideal for meetings, training sessions, short courses and seminars, he says.
The facility has a computer room, Wi Fi broadband access, photocopying and faxing service, is fully wheelchair accessible and has free parking.
