Looking for that elusive Christmas gift for someone special? Want to explore a treasure house on your doorstep?

If so, a visit to Claregalway Castle this weekend is a must. Hibernian Antique Fairs are delighted to announce its first Galway Antique Art & Vintage fair in many years.

The Fair will run over two days on both Saturday November 23 and 24 from 11am - 6pm both days at Claregalway Castle. The support received for former Galway fairs in The Corrib Great Southern and The Ardilaun Hotels was always exceptional.

“We have neglected you for way too long. So we are back and what a magnificent setting we have found for our return,” said Robin O’Donnell.

“The Claregalway Castle is an absolute gem and is a credit to its owners and all involved with its sympathetic restoration. “The venue is the ideal place for our Fair.

“What a backdrop for everything old, vintage or antique. Imagine the 17th Century main building and the magnificent castle full to the rafters with temptations of every description. With size restrictions, the fair won’t be as enormous as our former Corrib Hotel fair but it will be choc a bloc with fantastic Antique Art & Vintage dealers from all over Ireland”.

Attending will be several Art Galleries including Treasure Irish Art Athlone, The Purple Onion Gallery Co. Roscommon, Robert Delahunty Irish Art etc. Antique Furniture by Moycullen Antiques Co Galway, Greenes Antiques Drogheda, Raymond Byrne Co. Roscommon, Annamoe Antiques, Co.Wicklow Jewellery by PS Its Vintage, Peggy Campbell Dublin. jewellery and militaria by Bedlam Antiques Derry.

For coins, banknotes, military medals etc meet Richard & Renu Walshe, Tuam Co. Galway, Edward Paul, Dublin, Gary McConnell, Galway. porcelain and china from Sean & Breege Cassidy and several others.

Admission is just €5 for adults including raffle, children get in free and are most welcome. Ample free parking will be available onsite. Refreshments in the Castle Cafe and Handsome Burger. The weekend promises to be just the beginning of the annual Claregalway Castle Antique Art & Vintage Fair.
