Citroen has refreshed its light commercial vehicle line-up of the Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay, becoming the first van models to display the brand's new identity and logo.
Berlingo
A benchmark in the van market, the Berlingo adopts Citroen's new brand signature with a starting price of €27,770. Exterior styling on the new Berlingo van adopts the brand's latest design, with a more upright front end that has been completely redeveloped – from the radiator grille to the bumper and headlamps. There is also a new 'Kiama Blue' colour to choice from.
The passenger compartment has been redesigned and now features a new, more ergonomic dashboard. The quality of the finish has also been improved, according to Citroen.
'LX Plus' models receive 'My Citroën Drive Plus' combined with a high-definition 10-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Rear visibility via the reversing camera including top rear vision is available on 'Enterprise' models. A new ergonomic steering wheel displays Citroen’s new logo, while enhanced driver safety features support the driver.
Available as standard on all three trim levels, LX Plus, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus, the new Berlingo van includes Advanced Emergency Braking, Electronic Stability Control, ABS, Driver Attention Assist 3 (DAA3 ) and both driver and passenger front, side and curtain airbags.
The new Berlingo van retains the modularity and load volume that made its predecessor such a success. It will continue to be available with a three-seat bench and in two lengths (MWB – 4.40 m, and LWB – 4.75 m ) for all engine types. It has a total capacity of up to 4.40 m3 and a payload of up to 1 tonne (780 kg for the electric version ).
Dispatch
Starting at €36,195, the new Citroen Dispatch features a new front end, with an optimised bumper for enhanced design and aerodynamics, new LED headlamps and a completely new radiator grille that incorporates the brand's new signature.
An updated dashboard features a new design and inserts, while becoming more practical. The size of existing storage compartments has been increased and new ones have been added.
The steering wheel is new, with various integrated controls (cruise control, telephone, radio ). Numerous safety attributes now come as standard on the Dispatch such as Automatic Emergency Braking with forward collision warning, Driver Attention Assist (DAA3 ), ASR, ABS with driver and front passenger airbags.
The new Dispatch will be available in two lengths, MWB (4.98m ) and LWB (5.33m ). It has a useful volume of up to 6.6m3 and a payload of up to 1,275 kg, depending on the version. It has a turning circle of 11.3m.
Relay
The front end of the new Citroen Relay has been redesigned, while improving its aerodynamic characteristics. The bumper, radiator grille (now the same colour as the bodywork ) and rear-view mirrors have been redesigned with this in mind.
The black lower section has been reinforced to further enhance the vehicle's impact protection. Citroen says the new LED headlamps are also 30 per cent more efficient than their halogen predecessors. The rear lights have also been given a new design.
In the passenger compartment, the new Relay's dashboard has been redesigned to offer improved ergonomics and a more elegant style, with a new digital instrument cluster and large central screen. The steering wheel, gearbox controls and door trim have also been upgraded.
With two wheelbases available (3.45 m and 4.04 m ), the panel vans come in three lengths (L2, L3 and L4 ) and three heights (H1, H2 and H3 ) with a total of six different body styles featuring volumes of 10 to 17 m3.
To serve as a basis for special conversions, the new Relay with its 4.04 m wheelbase will also be available in L3 or L4 single cab chassis, and L3 or L4 double cab chassis. The Relay now starts at €35,295.
