Order books are now open for the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser. The arrival of Ireland’s first new Land Cruiser in 15 years will be music to the ears the many fans nationwide.
The new model is described by Toyota as a blend of the iconic retro style and strength with new and advanced technology. It harks back to Land Cruiser’s classic design heritage, with a modernised interior and the latest cutting-edge technology.
The commercial version starts at €69,990, arriving in the first half of next year (2025 ), while the passenger version starts at €140,830 and lands in the first quarter of 2025. Given the high anticipated demand, Toyota Ireland is encouraging early reservations.
The Land Cruiser has been the SUV of choice for Irish farmers and motoring enthusiasts for decades. The new model features a 2.8-litre diesel engine, paired with a redesigned turbocharger, and a new eight-speed automatic transmission.
It also adds electric power steering, replacing the former hydraulic system to provide better handling off-road. This enables lane assist to be introduced as part of Toyota’s 'Safety Sense' system.
According to Toyota, this new combination delivers dependable power and ensures a smoother and more efficient driving experience, whether off- or on-road.
The new Land Cruiser can now tow up to 3.5-tonnes, matching the towing capacity of the Toyota Hilux.
In addition to the performance enhancements, Toyota says that passenger versions of the new Land Cruiser feature significant interior upgrades, including a 12.3-inch touch screen, accurate voice recognition, adaptive cruise control and a more spacious cabin for both drivers and passengers.
