Ahead of what is set to be a highly competitive election in the five-seat constituencies of Galway West, Donegal, Mayo and Kerry, TG4 has commissioned four individual constituency polls for these areas.
The first of those is tonight when viewers will give an indication of the fascinating race in Galway West.
With incumbent Ministers and sitting TDs sharing the spotlight with high profile celebrity candidates and long-time councillors who are hoping to make the jump into national politics, the election outcome across the four constituencies is a tough one to call. In addition to this, several prominent figures in each of these constituencies have announced that they will not be seeking re-election, thus opening the field for these new contenders.
In an effort to get ahead of this uncertainty, TG4 has commissioned four individual constituency polls for these areas, which will be carried out by leading market research company Ipsos B&A.
The results of these polls will be revealed exclusively on Nuacht TG4, beginning with Galway West on Thursday, November 14. Following Galway West, the Donegal constituency poll will be broadcast on Tuesday, November 19, Mayo on Thursday, November 21, and Kerry on Tuesday, November 26. All four constituency specials will air at 7pm.
Eimear Ní Chonaola and Siún Nic Gearailt will analyse the results and will be joined by panellists and experts for each constituency.
