St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church Christmas Fayre/Aonach na Nollag

St Nicholas Collegiate Church, Lombard Street will hold its annual Christmas Fayre on Saturday, November 23, and is inviting everyone to go along and get in the Christmas spirit.

You can buy all the homemade Christmas cakes, puddings, produce, wreaths, arrangements, crafts and gifts you need, and purchase tickets to win beautiful crib figures, hand knitted by the Bohermore Craft Group. There will also be vintage items, books, toys and bric-a-brac. Who knows what treasures you could find!

Children can enjoy games and activities and get their face painted by the talented Giselle. Santa will be there to meet the children, with his friendly elves to help him.

Enjoy tea or coffee with lovely homemade scones and mince pies while listening to Galway choirs such as the Ignite Gospel Choir, the Village Choir, the Claregalway Community Choir, the Frenchville Brass Ensemble, the Galway Bay Tones, the Galway Choral Association, the Combined Golf and Hospital Choirs, the Cois Cladaigh Choir, and the St. Nicholas Parish Choir who will be joined this year by Santa Claus (Saint Nicholas ) himself for a few songs. The organisers are grateful for the support from these communities.

Doors open at 10.30am and admission is €3 with each entry ticket purchased including a chance to win a door prize provided by McCambridges of Galway. The event runs until 2.30pm, but you are advised to get there early as items have sold out quickly in the past.
