New hotel manager Aidan Donohue

The Radisson hotel group has appointed Loughrea man Aidan Donohue as manager of its new Radisson Red Hotel to open soon in Crown Square on the Monivea Road in Galway city.

Prior to joining Radisson RED, Donohue served as General Manager at Athlone Springs Hotel, and worked for the Só Hotel Group, starting at Castletroy Park Hotel & Leisure Club in Limerick.

The new eight-story hotel in Galway city will be Ireland’s first Radisson Red hotel. The €40m development includes 177 rooms, an rooftop bar with panoramic views, and 400 square meters of meeting space, full of art, music, and fashion.

The hotel is designed by Henry J Lyons Architects as part of the €200m Crown Square project developed by builders JJ Rhatigan & Co.
