Viral TikTok sensation Gearoid McCarthy brings his highly anticipated songs to Monroe’s Live tomorrow, Friday, October 11, at 7:30pm.
With 3.7 million likes on TikTok and a rapidly growing fan base, McCarthy has made a name for himself both online and on-stage with a unique sound and heartfelt performances.
Growing up in the small village of Foynes, County Limerick, McCarthy was surrounded by music and folklore, which have greatly shaped his sound. His love for Irish music has taken him around the world, having performed in 60 countries, but it was TikTok videos that brought him viral fame.
McCarthy’s online presence has introduced a new generation of listeners to the beauty of Irish folk music, and his passion for the genre continues to shine in every performance. His album, The Songs I Grew Up With is a ten-track tribute to the rich heritage of Irish folk music, featuring classics like ‘The Wild Rover’ and ‘Dublin in the Rare Oul Times.’
