Irish artist Michael Flaherty returns to The Kenny Gallery next month with Fermoyle Sky, an exhibition of more than 40 vibrant paintings of the west coast of Ireland.
From October 15 at Kenny’s gallery and bookshop in Liosbán, Flaherty will display images of The Blasket Islands, Skellig Michael, Brandon Point and other coastal locations depicted in a colour technique likened by critics to Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Henry.
Born in Cloghane on the Dingle Peninsula in 1950, Flaherty’s artistic journey has spanned decades. His work is celebrated for its energetic brushstrokes, lush colours, and a fiery poetic spirit reflecting the dramatic landscapes of his home place.
