A musician from Merlin Park in Galway city is hoping to get his big break when he appears on ITV’s The Voice UK this weekend.

Galwegian Fergal O’Hanlon (32 ) will appear as a member of The Celtic Harps, a four-piece which will play in front of judges this Saturday, September 14, at 8.30pm. Other members hail from counties Tyrone, Cork and Waterford.

O’Hanlon said he could not reveal “too much” about the show ahead of broadcast, but urged Galwegians to tune in to ITV on Saturday night, or sister channel Virgin Media One.

O’Hanlon previously came to national attention with his online hit ‘Christmas in Galway’ released with Adam O’Shea of The Púcas.
