Comedy returns to the Ruby Room in the Kings Head pub this week, with two great shows on two consecutive nights, beginning tonight, September 5, and tomorrow, Friday 6.

First up this evening at the High Street hostelry will be Vancouver-based, Headford native Amy Walsh. She will be debuting her first solo stand-up comedy show in Ireland. Following years of honing her craft on the vibrant Canadian comedy circuit, Amy aims to deliver a fresh perspective on Irishness abroad, life, mental health, love and the absurdities of modern living.

Following up tomorrow, Friday, September 6, is Julie Jay, back with her brand new stand-up show, Julie Madly Deeply. Comedian, writer, and podcaster, she also has a weekly parenting column with the Irish Examiner and has also has written for the Irish Times. Julie currently co-hosts comedy podcast, Trapped With Fred and Julie alongside her husband Fred Cooke.

Doors 7.30pm. Tickets are available (details on both comics' Instagram ) in advance, and at the door.
