The Clifden Arts Festival (September 18 to 29 ) is set to enchant audiences with a diverse lineup of musical events catering to all ages.

This year's festival promises unforgettable performances by world-renowned musicians, innovative ensembles, and emerging stars from the Irish music scene. Highlighting the festival, Music Network brings together Mike McGoldrick, fiddle and viola player Nollaig Casey, and rising folk star Niall McCabe for a captivating musical conversation.

Cherish the Ladies, one of the most acclaimed Irish music ensembles, will deliver their vibrant blend of traditional music, enchanting vocals, and spirited step dancing. Known for their global performances and 18 acclaimed albums, they promise virtuosity, humour, and dynamic stage presence.

The Pirosmani Quartet, led by classical violinist Mairéad Hickey, will perform Dave Flynn’s 'The Cranning' and Dvo?ák’s joyous G Major Quartet. Another must-see event is 'One for the Road' with traditional fiddler Gerry Harrington, known for his soulful Irish folk performances. Celebrated musicians Martin Hayes and cellist Kate Ellis will blend tradition with modern innovation in their performance.

The Luminosa String Orchestra, founded by Lucy Hayward O’Leary, will present a concert featuring lesser-known works alongside classical string repertoire staples. Indie rock enthusiasts will enjoy The Burma, a Cork band influenced by the American Indie scene and British guitar bands.

Traditional music fans will be thrilled by Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh and Dónal O'Connor's captivating blend of historical depth and modern creativity. Hermitage Green, known for their sold-out shows and energetic performances, will also take the stage. Cantairí Chonamara will present "Stepping Stones," a choral, instrumental, and spoken work tracing key milestones in Irish musical and literary history.

"The Mind Altering Alters All" features Dublin-born poet Paula Meehan, award-winning violinist Colm Mac Con Iomaire, and versatile writer Theo Dorgan. Their spellbinding performance promises to be a festival highlight.

Other notable performances include Mick Hanley, NightVisiting by Lisa Lambe, Finghin Collins, Annette Cleary and John Feeley, and Séamus and Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta, ensuring a diverse and engaging musical experience.
