The band’s music is deeply rooted in soul and blues, infused with the sounds of Sixties’ rock, folk, and funk.
Singer song-writer and frontwoman Debra Wallace is a native of Renvyle, Co Galway, now based in Cork. Her voice has been compared to Janis Joplin, Sandy Denny, and Joni Mitchell, bringing a powerful presence to her original compositions.
Wallace has shared the stage as an opening act for John Cooper Clarke, Dick Gaughan, Roy Harper, Marie Brennan, Glen Tilbrook, Aslan, The Frames, Loudon Wainwright III, and Jon Kenny.
Her band is Dave ‘Smiley’ Tracey on bass, Conor Gilligan on drums, and Jen O'Shea on lead guitar.
Pat Carthy of Hot Press said of Wallace: "There’s sinewy blues, hints of Sandy Denny in the vocals, and some nice Tom Verlaine-style playing. There was a lot of Jefferson Airplane going on too, especially in the closing song. Nice sound, fair play."
