Renault's E-Tech Electric, Rafale E-Tech full hybrid, and Captur have all been introduced to the Irish market.

Renault has launched three new cars in Ireland - the Car of the Year 2024 Scenic E-Tech Electric, alongside the new flagship model Rafale E-Tech full hybrid and the new Captur.

Scenic E-Tech electric

Announced as Car of the Year 2024 in February, the Scenic E-Tech electric is Renault's first electric family car and measures 4.47 metres long.

Developed on the AmpR platform, the Scenic E-Tech electric recalls the flexibility of the original Megane Scenic, the 1997 European Car of the Year, with impressive interior space and on-board features. It has a 545-litre boot, an innovative Solarbay opacifying sunroof and 'ingenious' rear armrest completing the cabin's 'all-comfort' package.

The Scenic E-Tech has a quoted WLTP range of up to 610km and quick charging of up to 150 kW. The 60kWh 170bhp version is available in two trim levels - 'evolution' and 'techno', while the 87kWh 220hp version is available in 'techno', 'esprit Alpine' and 'Iconic' trims.

Pricing start at €39,995 for the 60kWh version and from €48,995 for the larger 87kWh version.

Rafale E-Tech full hybrid

Renault’s Rafale, which draws its inspiration from the world of aviation, is the first Renault car designed completely under the design direction of Gilles Vidal.

Priced in Ireland from €51,495, the new Rafale is powered by a 200 hp E-Tech full hybrid engine, and comes with generous proportions and luxurious interior and equipment. Onboard technologies include OpenR Link multimedia with Google built-in, Solarbay opacifying sunroof, Ingenious rear armrest and Four Control Advanced four-wheel steering system.

There are three trim levels available in Ireland for the Rafale: 'techno', 'espirit Alpine' and 'esprit Alpine+'.

Captur

With over 14,000 Renault Captur models sold in Ireland since it was launched 10 years ago, the new Captur is said by Renault to remain a pace-setter in the urban SUV market with a host of new features alongside the many qualities that have built its identity and its success.

Along with a new front end and more athletic lines, it gains a more stylish, more premium look. This change is best illustrated by the new 'esprit Alpine' level trim, with its sporty features and elegant nods to the Alpine brand.

Driving pleasure is enhanced by a more dynamic ride with high-tech upgrades for a more connected and more efficient experience.

The new Captur has a hugely versatile interior with a sliding rear bench to allow optimisation of rear seat space and boot space according to customer need. From 'techno' level upwards, the new Captur has openR Link multimedia system with Google built-in offering the best of in-car technology with Google Maps navigation, voice assistant with Google Assistant and Google Play with over 50 applications available.

Prices in Ireland start from €29,120 for the TCe 90 manual version, and from €33,990 for the ETech full hybrid 145 model.
