Druid is planning a special evening to celebrate the opening of its newly refurbished theatre at Chapel Lane on Friday July 17.
The evening will be a benefit night for Druid and all proceeds will go towards the company’s new writing programme, which has previously brought the work of writers such as Martin McDonagh and Enda Walsh, to the stage.
Those lucky enough to get a ticket for what promises to be a truly memorable evening will receive a ticket to the now sold-out run of The Gigli Concert by Tom Murphy, a tour of the theatre with architect Tom De Paor, an opportunity to see backstage, meet the cast after the show, and a gourmet buffet supper from Artisan.
Multi-award winning Irish novelist Colm Tóibín is the guest speaker on the night.
The theatre is a protected structure and the new design retains the character of the existing building and also incorporates its original warehouse ambience.
Tickets are €175 and are available on a first-come-first-served basis. To book a ticket and for more information contact Sinead McPhillips on 091 - 568660 or email [email protected]
