The Oughterard Courthouse Arts Programme has announced four exhibitions this summer showcasing the work of 37 local artists and visitors
The group of Uachtar Ard artists, known as uachtarARTS, will open their ‘Endless Horizons’ series of showcases on Friday, June 14, at 7pm, with an address by former Galway city and county arts officer James Harrold. It runs until Sunday, June 23.
The exhibition features the artists Anne-Mette Kelter Weinkouff, Barbara Dunne, Celeste Auge, Deirdre McAvinchey, Deirdre Stephens, Fintan Convery, Geraldine Folan, Gil Cusack, Grainne Mac Manus, Helen Caird, Helen Webb, Hilary Morley, Isabelle Gaborit, Janet Mercer, Jean Mac Sorley, Jess Walsh, Joan Kilfeather, Kathleen Hinde, Kathleen Furey, Maria Hutton, Mary Byrne, Maureen Mooney, Mimi Sazali, Nick Tuttle, Noreen Burke, Olga Magliocco, Orla Cahill, Patricia McQuinn, Philippa Maguire, Rebecca Philbin, Renske Boef, Sacha Hutchinson, Sarah McArdle, Shona B Walsh, Susanne Keane, Svetlana Akusevits and Svetlana Ungureanu.
‘Beure’ is the title of the second exhibition which is a joint show featuring Mullingar artists Emma Carter and Rachel Coyne running from June 28 until July 7. The NOVA Collective will showcasing their work in ‘Shadowpraise’, an exhibition about darkness and light from the July 12 until July 21. The final, solo exhibition is of acclaimed artist Richard Ward from July 26 until August 4.
The Courthouse Gallery will be opened Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm, and Sundays 12pm to 5pm.
