Róisín Dubh Comedy will present an exclusive preview of comic Andrew Maxwell’s latest entry to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival on Friday, June 28.

This will be the first preview of Maxwell’s new Bare Maximum show on a three-venue tour of Ireland before heading over to Scotland for Edinburgh.

The double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee is famed for finding the perfect balance between humour and insight in any given situation; his lightning-quick wit and fierce intellect have ensured that he remains a major name in Irish comedy, and on British TV.

His TV credentials over the last 20 plus years since winning Channel 4’s ‘King of Comedy’ have seen Maxwell engage in a battle of wits on ‘Mock The Week’ to a battle with cockroaches in ‘I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here’.

He has appeared on ‘Have I Got News For You’, ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’, ‘QI’, ‘Richard Osman’s House of Games’, ‘Pointless Celebrities’ and ‘Live at the Apollo’. Maxwell is the recognisable voice behind MTV’s hit show ‘Ex On The Beach’. He has even won ‘Celebrity Mastermind’ which, for anyone who has been in a room with him for more than 5 minutes, will come as no surprise.

Along with fellow comedian Glenn Wool, Maxwell recently released a weekly podcast Eejits of the World. He played to over 100,000 people last year in support of Jim Jefferies. He has sold-out endless runs at Edinburgh, performed at The Amnesty / Channel Four’s Secret Policeman’s Ball (alongside Eddie Izzard, Chevy Chase and Dylan Moran ), Glastonbury, Galway Comedy Festival, The HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Las Vegas (alongside Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock ) and has appeared several times at Montreal’s Just for Laughs festival.

He is a founder member of ALTITUDE, a comedy festival staged in the Austrian Alps, and has released three comedy specials.
