Goldparty.ie, an exciting and clever new concept which helps you turn your unwanted gold jewellery into hard cash, was officially launched last Tuesday by TV3’s Sybil Mulcahy at Dublin’s St Stephen’s Green.
Guests gathered to see a goldparty in operation and were talked through the various steps in hosting and the tests that are carried out on scrap and unwanted gold by goldparty.ie agents.
This brand new ‘party concept’ was founded by Galway based businessman Richard Walsh, along with his daughter Laura. Current gold prices are extremely high which means that unwanted or scrap gold is definitely worth something. Walsh and his daughter have learned the techniques for testing gold and are fully trained in using the most up to date patented gold appraisal equipment.
Walsh also researched the ‘green element’ of this business concept to discover that gold is primarily found in very low concentrations, less than 10 grams per tonne, and when mined the precious material generates much waste, therefore, it is much better for the environment if old gold jewellry is recycled so that the gold contained within it can be reused.
Guests at a Gold Party are asked to bring along any scrap or unwanted gold (broken jewellry, odd earrings, old bracelets, links from a watch, etc, ) with them to the party where using the most advanced gold appraisal equipment and working from the official gold prices of the day, the Gold Party agent will value the guests’ gold and offer them a cheque should they decide to sell at the party.
