The 17-piece orchestra’s maestro, Martin Murray, received treatment for pancreatic cancer from the Galway and Donegal-based charity in 2023. To show his appreciation, the former cruise ship musical director is now putting on a one-time fundrasier featuring the works of all the jazz greats, from Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Bobby Darin, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller and many more.

The Galway Bay Dixieland Jazz Band will be the night’s warm-up act, to get everyone ‘in the mood’.

Show starts 6.30pm. Tickets €25 from The Galmont, Cancer Care West, or on GalwayCityJazzOrchestra.Eventbrite.ie
