In a major milestone for the group, they recently signed a publishing deal in the US with Brian Brinkerhoff of Singular Recordings. It’s the next chapter for the talented band, whose funkadelic fusion is laden with old school groove, blues, and soul with a modern twist.
With influences ranging from Vulfpeck, The Meters, Lettuce and Galactic, and other genres throughout the decades, they are reinventing funk for the modern age.
Chief Keegan’s gritty, raw and rhythmic melodies pay homage to the roots of funk and jazz through the talented musicianship of Luke Dunford on keyboards, Mark Dudley on guitar, Alan Elliott on bass, and Cian Hanley on drums.
They have collaborated with esteemed Irish artists like James Vincent McMorrow, Zaska, Loah, and Sharon Shannon.
With their innovative approach to funk, they continue to push boundaries and redefine the genre for a new era.
