Join Cruit Éireann|Harp Ireland for Happy Birthday, Mary O’Hara in Taidhbhearc na Gaillimhe on Sunday, May 12, at 7pm. Celebrate renowned harpist Mary O’Hara’s birthday with the release of Voices and Harps IV, Moya Brennan and Cormac de Barra’s latest album.
Mary O’Hara was an inspirational harper, singer and a pioneer of the harping tradition, whose songs and harp accompaniments influenced musicians all over the world. She has held countless audiences spellbound from London’s Albert Hall and New York's Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House. In recognition of her contribution to Irish music, Mary was awarded an honorary doctorate from University College Dublin.
