This Friday’s Tigh He-He Comedy Club at Róisín Dubh will be graced by Belfast’s Paul Currie, with doors at 8pm.
Currie doesn’t say much. He has performed with a monkey he keeps in a suitcase. He is known to have a rubber duck about his person. His comedy rarely involves him uttering a word.
His combination of puppetry, mime, slapstick, sketch comedy, surrealism, dada punk, clowning, and theatre (of the absurd ) has won five star reviews from the media and other high-profile comics.
Support on the night from rising star Taran O’Sullivan. She reached the semi-finals of the 2020 Funny Women competition and also appeared in Callan’s Kicks The Year.
The night’s host is Adam Burke. He has recently taken to the very biggest stages including 3Arena, Live At The Marquee, Vicar Street, Liberty Hall, Cork Opera House and The INEC Arena. Expect an irrepressible showman.
