Galway Tinting Laboratory is a car detailing shop based in the Liosban Industrial Estate off the Tuam Road. It will be four years in business this month serving car owners in Galway and from around the country.
Business founder Levani ‘Leo’ Lobzhandze says trade has increased by 300 per cent over the past year, and he is actively searching for a second premises in Galway as part of expansion plans.
“We are always busy; normally six cars per day,” says Leo, who has 14 years experience in the automotive industry.
The Georgian came to Galway as a student to improve his English. While working part-time in a car wash, he noticed customers complaining there was nowhere in Galway to get the latest car wrapping and window tinting technologies in Galway city.
The Liosban-based garage main offers are chameleon film and carbon wraps, architectural window films, tints, and headlight treatments.
Leo explains serving main dealerships is a core part of his business: “If a customer is buying a new car from a dealer, but wants different-coloured body parts, or windows, or even a whole different colour, we can do it, and do it quickly.”
Leo is currently fitting out a mobile Tinting Lab van to bring his service directly to customers, especially to homes and dealerships in Dublin, and expects to increase his workforce in the near future.
