The home side scooped a number of awards at the 60th Glenamaddy Theatre Festival held in Glenamaddy Town Hall last week, narrowly missing out on the top gong to Donegal’s Ballyshannon Dramatic Society.
The Glenamaddy Players came first in the ‘confined competition’ with their production of ‘The Outgoing Tide’.
Glenamaddy’s Marie Coneran, and Paraic Newman won best actress and actor awards respectively, and the Co Galway group also won the best set competition. Ballyshannon won the overall award with their performance of ‘Margaret’.
