Irish folk singer Gearoid McCarthy brings his highly anticipated ‘Going Out For One’ tour to Monroe’s Live on Saturday, May 18, at 7:30pm.

Fresh from the release of his album, The Songs I Grew Up With, McCarthy has carved out a niche in traditional folk that has earned a large fan base.

Known for his compelling vocals, he boasts a significant online presence with 63,000 Facebook followers and a thriving YouTube channel.

His recent ten-track album is a celebration of the rich heritage of Irish folk music, with his own take on classic songs such as ‘The Wild Rover’ and ‘Dublin in the Rare Oul Times’.

McCarthy is also lead vocalist for folk four-piece The Rattlin’ Rogues. Formed in 2022, the group has played at the prestigious INEC arena in Killarney to venues across the country, solidifying their status as one of Ireland’s hottest new acts.
