Following joint venture agreements signed last October, Volvo Group and Renault Group have obtained regulatory approval to launch their new company, Flexis SAS.
The new van-making venture will be based in France, and will build fully-electric commercial vehicles to "address the growing needs of decarbonised and efficient urban logistics".
Volvo and Renault will each invest €300 million into Flexis SAS, over the next three years.
The new range of fully-electric vans will be based on a Software Defined Vehicle (SDV ) platform, with production set to commence in 2026.
