Kerrymen Dylan O'Sullivan, Shane Kennedy, and Kealan Cahill are Simple Things

With a nod to Mumford and Sons and The Lumineers, three-piece band Simple Things will play Monroe’s Live on Sunday, March 31, at 7:30pm, as they embark on their first Irish tour.

It has been a whirlwind for the Co Kerry ensemble, selling out headline shows in Cork and Killarney with their distinctive pop sound, infused with traditional roots.

Comprising vocalist Dylan O'Sullivan, bassist and backing vocalist Shane Kennedy, and multi-instrumentalist Kealan Cahill, they are gaining notable acclaim for tracks like ‘Running’ and ‘Home.’

Their rising momentum reached new heights when they were handpicked by Picture This for 'The Secret Headliner' series on Virgin Media TV.

Hailing from Beaufort, Co Kerry, both Kealan and Dylan began playing trad at a young age, before exploring new territories in pop.

This evolution is palpable in their music, where traces of their traditional backgrounds enrich a contemporary sound.

The addition of Farranfore’s Shane Kennedy has further solidified the group's dynamic.

Their ability to craft lyrically-charged, catchy, melodies that bridge the gap between their roots and modern influences are making waves on the music scene.
