Hard Rock Collective carry heavy metal to Monroe’s

Monroe's Live is preparing for the electrifying sounds of the Hard Rock Collective on Friday, March 1, at 10pm. Expect a raucous night of grunge, rock, and heavy metal anthems.

Fans of Led Zeppelin, Linkin Park, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Slayer, and Metallica can anticipate a hard-edge experience from this Newry-based tribute band.

The Hard Rock Collective was born from a shared passion for heavy music, and they are back with a revamped set list and a host of new songs for a Galway audience.

Comprising Patrick Campbell on bass and vocals, Gary Short on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Paddy O’Hare on lead guitar, and Tomás Gray on drums, they initially formed to surprise a close friend celebrating his upcoming wedding.

“We are continuing to refine what we do,” says Campbell. “We can’t wait to get back to Galway with our new set list. The energy there the last time was fantastic.”

Their eclectic mix of influences includes Campbell's draw to grunge, guitarist Paddy's affinity for traditional metal, lead vocalist Gary's passion for classic rock, and drummer Tomás’ focus on '90s rock classics.
