Think you know your folk music? Then rock up to the Róisín Dubh next Thursday, February 22, for a celebratory, multimedia trip including trivia rounds, photos, songs and video spanning decades of folk genres.
For Folk’s Sake, a quiz by Womp Events, will span New Indie, Folk heroes, Americana and Irish rebel music.
Expect questions on folk pioneers including Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, The Dubliners, Joni Mitchell, The Pogues and Bruce Springsteen. Recent acts may also feature, such as Mumford & Sons, Lankum, The Scratch, Taylor Swift and Noah Kahan.
There will be great prizes for the top two teams, plus plenty of spot prizes, including exclusive event tickets, pints and bragging rights over your fellow folk fans.
A table of four quizzers costs €40. Registration and Round 1 from 7pm.
