Galway audiences may sample a simulated slice of real Manchester indie at its best with The Complete Stone Roses playing Monroe’s Live on Friday, March 29, at 9pm.
With the endorsement of the original band, The Complete Stone Roses are celebrated for their authentic recreation of the ground breaking indie-rockers' backdrop to the birth of Manchester’s “mad” music scene in the 1990s.
Bassist Gary Mounfield, aka Mani, is a member of both the Stone Roses and Primal Scream. He has praised the dedication, artistry, and talent of this tribute act, often joining them on stage.
The band even tracked down a rare Rickenbacker 3000 bass, the same model used by Mani, to recreate the authentic ‘Roses experience.
The Stone Roses played a pivotal role in shaping the indie music scene and its crossover to rave and dance, with timeless hits like ‘Fools Gold’, ‘I Am The Resurrection,’ and ‘I Wanna Be Adored.’
Over the years, The Complete Stone Roses have graced major festivals, including Rock Ness, The Isle of White, Live at Loch Lomond, and Get Loaded.
Their international footprint extends to energetic shows in Dubai, Bahrain, Holland, the USA, and Australia.
