We had a very successful weekend with an entry of 37 athletes taking home 4 gold, 7 silver and 2 bronze medals.

The standout performance on day one was from Harry Melia U13 winning gold in 60m and 600m, silver in Long jump, as well as picking up a silver in the U13 4 x 200m relay with his team mates Noah Brady, Charlie Flannery and Leon Boyko.

Our 2 race walkers Owen Gannon(U12 ) and Isobel O'Dea(U13 ) collected silver and bronze respectively in their 1KM races.

Jennifer Greaney was successful over 60m hurdles and rewarded with a silver medal for her efforts.

On day two Noah Brady followed in the footsteps of Irish International Athlete Liam Shaw and continued an Athenry tradition in the Shot putt to take gold in the U12 boys. Noah also medalled in Long jump and 60m. Charlie Flannery was back in action on day two and took silver in the U12 600m.

This was the first competition for most of our younger U9 and U10 athletes with many of them finishing in the top ten of their events.
