Show Me The Funny, Ireland's largest and longest-running comedy competition, returns to the Kings Head Bar, High Street, on Monday, January 29, in association with Bulmers Cider.
Five consecutive Monday night heats will see 10 comedic hopefuls battle it out for a place in the Grand Final on Monday, March 4. The eventual winner is rewarded with a career-changing slot at the world famous Electric Picnic’s Comedy Stage, along with two VIP weekend tickets for the sold-out music and arts festival extravaganza.
Previous winners and finalists have included, Alison Spittle, Al Porter, Emma Doran, Julie Jay and many others who are now household names .
At each heat there will be a special guest act. To kick things off on opening night its loveable rogue, Karl Spain, with Gerry Mallon as host and MC.
Tickets €5 on the door include free pint of cider. Doors 7.30pm for 8.30pm show.
