Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute band, the Red Hot Copy Peppers, will ‘Give It Away’ at Monroe’s Live on Friday, February 16, at 11pm.

From the soulful strains of 'By the Way' to the unstoppable energy of 'Can't Stop'; the emotive 'Under the Bridge' to the anthemic 'Give it Away'; the band will explore the extensive catalogue of these Californian funk, metal, and alt-rock legends.

Originating from Ireland, Brazil, and Hungary, the Red Hot Copy Peppers are a group of talented rock musicians, brought together by their shared love for the group. Martin McIntyre is on vocals, Andre Carvalho on lead guitar, Adrian Csapo on bass, and Jonatan Krasuski on drums.

“We are delighted to bring this tour to Monroe's Live,” says McIntyre.

“This year, we are paying tribute to 1991's iconic and ground breaking Blood Sugar Sex Magik album, widely regarded as the Chili's finest work. We always get an amazing crowd in Galway. Our show last year was unbelievable, and we expect no different this time around.

“We'll be playing the best of the BSSM album, along with the usual, must have tunes from the other albums. And we will be playing a lot of songs we've never done before, so we are super excited. It keeps it interesting for our audience and us too.”

On the go for ten years, the band recently completed a tour in which they performed the entire Slane 2003 set from start to finish.

“In Monroes we're even doing a few tunes never performed live by the Chili’s themselves, so it's definitely a show not to be missed,” adds McIntyre.

Support from 7thsun, on the night - February 16 - at 11pm.
