Galway fashion designer Róisín Dockry will showcase her latest collection at Ireland’s annual ARC Fashion Show on March 28 at the RDS Concert Hall Dublin. Now in its ninth year, the ARC Fashion Show to support Cancer Centres will feature the biggest line-up yet with 25 fashion designers, five accessories designers and eight milliners.
Hailing from Barna Co. Galway and now currently living in Barcelona, Róisín launched her brand during the pandemic, which specialises in luxury slow fashion. Róisín has always been influenced by her surroundings and personal experiences, creating bespoke feminine pieces. She is committed to sustainability and operates a made-to-order model to reduce waste, with all of her bespoke garments being hand-made.
Emily Hourican, renowned Irish author and cancer survivor, will inaugurate the show which is produced by Eddie Shanahan. All funds raised will be dedicated to supporting ARC Cancer Support Centres who offer vital psychological, emotional, practical, and educational assistance to individuals of all ages affected by cancer and their caregivers.
A hugely popular segment of the show is The ARC Angels sequence, and this year will see four ARC service users join the professional models on the runway to showcase eight exquisite millinery creations, inspired by the elements: earth, air, fire, and water. Each of the ARC Angels will wear dresses designed by Róisín for their runway debut.
The ARC Fashion Show takes place on Thursday, March 28, 2024 in the RDS Concert Hall, Dublin 4. Doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 8pm sharp via the Merrion Road entrance. Tickets cost €65 and can be purchased via Eventbrite
