Remembering Lizzy

Remembering Lizzy

In 1972, Thin Lizzy catapulted to fame with the release of ‘Whiskey in the Jar,’ marking the onset of a career that would etch their name among Ireland's foremost bands.

The lyrical ability and charismatic presence of lead singer and bassist Phil Lynott left an enduring mark on the international music scene.

Remembering Lizzy pays tribute to the icon in a commemorative event at Monroe’s Live on Friday, January 12th, from 9pm.

Thin Lizzy's distinctive blend of rock, blues, metal, and soul resonated across stadiums in the UK, Europe, and America during the 1970s.

With millions of albums sold, they became a musical powerhouse, delivering timeless hits like 'The Boys Are Back in Town,' 'Jailbreak,' and 'Waiting for an Alibi.'

Phil Lynott ventured into a solo career in the 1980s, continuing his chart-topping success before his death in 1986.

Through Remembering Lizzy, the acclaimed song writing and classic rock stylings of Lynott will once again grace the stage at Monroe's Live, celebrating the legacy of one of the era's most coveted artists.

Commemorating 38 years since his passing, this Phil Lynott remembrance gig on Friday, January 12th, is a heartfelt homage to his talent and legacy.
