A documentary on veteran Galway rockers The Stunning will be available over the Christmas season online on the RTÉ player.
Beautifully shot in black and white, the Dave O’Carroll-directed documentary We Come Alive records a session in an empty Dublin school hall during the tail-end of the Covid pandemic where the five Stunning lads jam with a number of fellow musicians. These special guests include Mundy, Mairtin O’Connor, Camille O’Sullivan, Zoe Conway, Faye O’Rourke, Niwel Tsumbu, Shobsy and Jon O’Connell.
The Stunning formed in Galway in 1987. Fronted by brothers Steve and Joe Wall, it includes Derek Murray, Jim Higgins and Cormac Dunne.
The documentary was broadcast on RTÉ last weekend, and will be available online for 12 months.
