The trio of Tim Wheeler, Mark Hamilton and Rick McMurray will headline Monroe’s Live on Sunday, December 17 at 8pm.
Their guitar-powered anthems have seen the Co Down trio perform at Glastonbury, support Weezer on a US tour and gig with the Smashing Pumpkins at Wembley.
Notably, their album 1977 was regarded by NME as one of the greatest of all time. It enjoyed remarkable chart-topping success.
With a prolific work ethic, Ash’s 2007 album Twilights of Innocence was set to be their last as they denounced the format in favour of back-to-back singles.
Much to the surprise and joy of their fans, Ash went on to release Kablammo! In 2015, and then release multiple singles and remastered versions of their most beloved tracks.
Embarking on an international tour to promote Race the Night, Wheeler describes the album as “the sound of the band revelling in the sheer joy of being a band after being separated by time and distance through the insanity of the early 2020s”.
Expect rounded, punchy pop punk songs with heroic harmonies, hard edgy riffs and power chord anthems at Monroe’s this Sunday.
Support on the night is from alt-rock band Wynona Bleach, with Melyssa Shannon on vocals, Jonny Woods on guitar and vocals, Aaron Black on guitar, Carl Gilmore on bass and James Foy on drums.
This exciting Belfast based band have supported Alice in Chains on their Irish tour and performed at the renowned Other Voices festival.
