Fionn MacCumhaill at An Taibhdhearc this Christmas

Continuing with its mythological series, An Taibhdhearc is showing Fionn agus Clochán an Aifir (Fionn and the Giant’s Causeway ), running from tomorrow, Friday, to Saturday, December 23.

Follow Irish hero Fionn MacCumhaill’s story as he meets with Benandonnar, the Giant of Scotland. When they met, a classic fable was born. Fionn was expecting someone like himself, but Benandonnar was very different. With the Morrígan in flight, and war in the air, will Fionn be safe? How do you know that you have real friends? And why the Scottish War Pipes?

The tale is told Fíbín sa Taibhdhearc-style; full of craic and live music.

“Here’s our interpretation of the famous old story,” says writer and director Séamus Hughes “It has been a magical journey in itself putting this play together. For me, it has been an absolute honour to work alongside young talented actors from the West of Ireland, who put their hearts, their talent, and hard work into each and every rehearsal.”
