Blood Bike choral fundraiser

The renowned Cois Cladaigh Choir will perform a Christmas concert in St Nicholas' Collegiate Church in aid of Blood Bike West on Saturday, December 16, at 8pm.

The showcase will be a mix of this year's musical highlights and Christmas favourites. The choir has recently returned from a successful tour of southern Spain which included performances in Granada, Malaga and Nerja.

Conducted by Daniel Beuster the programme will include music by Javier Busto, Albert Alcaraz, and Irish composers Eoghan Desmond and Alan Cutts. The choir will also perform Chanticleer’s Christmas Spiritual Medley and will be joined by the ConTempo Quartet and pianist Ramin Haghjoo for Dan Forrest’s wonderful arrangement of Silent Night.

Presented by Galway Music Residency, ConTempo Quartet will also treat audiences to a short, winter-themed string quartet repertoire.

The concert is in aid of Blood Bike West, an all-volunteer charitable organisation established to deliver blood, blood samples and urgent medical supplies, over weekends and holiday periods, between hospitals and healthcare sites.

Tickets on the door €20/€10. All welcome.
