It's been six years since the first Tesla Model 3 rolled off the assembly line, with over two million units sold globally to date.
Now, the American automaker has introduced the updated version of its popular Model 3 to the Irish market.
It says the new version features a slight restyle, new paint colours and a significantly updated interior.
The upgraded Model 3 is now available for order in Ireland, with deliveries beginning from January 2024.
Prices will start at €42,990 for the rear-wheel-drive model and €50,990 for the Long Range all-wheel-drive version (both inclusive of the €5k SEAI EV grant ).
The Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive offers a WLTP range of 554km with 18-inch wheels and acceleration from 0-100km/h in 6.1 seconds, while the Model 3 Long Range has a WLTP range of 678km, 18-inch wheels and a 0-100 km/h sprint of 4.4 seconds.
The upgraded Model 3 come with two new colour options, Ultra Red and Stealth Grey, while its exterior boasts sharper headlights and a redesigned rear end with new taillights.
New materials, increased storage space, dual wireless phone chargers, and redesigned seats that now come with ventilation and heating make up the new Model 3's interior upgrades.
The 15.4-inch centre display remains the same size but now has a more usable screen area and receives over-the-air (OTA ) updates for continuous improvements.
New to the Model 3 is also the option to customise the ambient lighting that wraps around the entire cabin.
Rear passengers now benefit from an eight-inch display with integrated climate control, ventilation and entertainment.
Other notable changes include 360-degree acoustic glass, improved suspension bushings, seals and sound-dampening materials, while both front door pillars are now equipped with blind-spot indicators in the upper speaker grille, improving safety during lane changes.
The audio system has also been upgraded, with the Model 3 Long Range getting 17 speakers, dual subwoofers and dual amplifiers. The Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive comes with nine speakers, a single subwoofer and an amplifier.
