Known for his enthralling performances, Irish singer-songwriter Paddy Dennehy will perform at Monroe’s Live on Saturday, November 18, at 8pm.
Dennehy’s career took a leap when the Oscar-winning musician Glen Hansard discovered him playing 'Hard Times' on an old upright piano at Benner’s Hotel in Dingle.
This serendipitous encounter resulted in a personal invitation from The Frames’ lead singer to join him on stage at the Everyman Theatre in Cork.
Since then, his ability to mesmerise audiences with his heartfelt lyrics and distinctive vocal style has earned him opportunities to support acclaimed artists such as Imelda May, Mick Flannery, and Lisa Hannigan.
Deeply influenced by musical luminaries like Nick Cave, Randy Newman and Lana del Rey, Dennehy is - at his core - a storyteller. Hailing from County Limerick, Dennehy wears his heart on his sleeve, ensuring his music is both cathartic and challenging.
In his latest album ‘Love and Be Brave’ he charts how it must be earned and protected fiercely.
