Amy Winehouse’s original band to play Monroes

The musicians who accompanied the late Amy Winehouse will perform at Monroes Live on Thursday, October 19.

This is a unique chance to relive her era-defining discography through the lens of the musicians who travelled with her on what became an iconic journey to global fame.

Fronted by vocalist Bronte Shandé, The Amy Winehouse Band will deliver all the hits from her multi award-winning albums, Back to Black, Frank and Lioness.

Hailed as the greatest artist of her generation, Amy left a lasting impact on the world of music. Now her legendary songbook will be showcased once again by the artists who knew her best, having shared the stage with her at prestigious venues all over the world.

The Amy Winehouse band bring an authentic reimagining of her sound that can only be created by those who worked with her over her short yet illustrious career.

As one of her most trusted collaborators, Dale Davis keeps her spirit alive with this engaging and emotional retrospective show.

“Amy was amazing,” he says. “She had such a big heart and if she liked you, you’d feel it, she’d give you everything. Hers is such an important musical legacy and we aim to keep it alive throughout the world”.

He is joined by Hawi Gondwe on guitar, Nathan Allen on drums, Henry Collins on trumpet and Jim Hunt on sax and flute.
