Well-known Galway buskers All Of Eden release their debut album Abience this week.
Brothers Jake Tyler and Troy Daniel Mac Amhlaigh cite Radiohead, Leonard Cohen and The Cure as current inspiration, but growing up The Everly Brothers and Simon and Garfunkel influenced their fluid harmonies.
The pair from Knocknacarra have busked all over Europe, yet still always return to the streets of their native Galway. Their original numbers have summer crowds pausing to liken the Nordic-style ambience to Röyskop or José Gonzales’ famous Sony TV ‘bouncing balls’ advert blockbuster, Heartbeats.
“We like to think of our music as a short journey that makes people reflect… to connect with the experiences we write about and offer more than just words and melody,” says Troy.
