Platinum-selling recording artist, songwriter, performer and producer, Ryan Sheridan will bring ‘The Preview Tour’ to Monroe’s Live on Saturday, September 30.
Following the release of his latest single, ‘Love & War,’ the Monaghan singer is touring venues across Ireland and Germany.
Sheridan’s The Preview Tour is a sneak-peek into material he has crafted for an upcoming album. The Monroe’s Live gig is a chance to hear this new material in an intimate setting.
“Getting out and playing the new songs live will be exciting, nerve wrecking, and a real opportunity for audiences to be a part of the album's journey before its release in 2024,” says Sheridan.
Having began his career as a busker, the award-winning Sheridan has shared the stage with artists including Paul Simon, Bryan Adams, Taylor Swift and Simply Red.
He came to prominence in 2011 when he released his debut album The Day You Live Forever, with singles such as Jigsaw, The Dreamer and Stand Up Tall. Since then, Sheridan has had two chart-topping albums, numerous television appearances, signed an international record deal and composed the song ‘Home’ for Mrs Brown's Boys D' Movie.
Known for his fusion of traditional folk pop, Sheridan evolved to incorporate his passion for bluegrass, country and lyrical storytelling through his album, Americana. This was partly inspired by his teenage experience of being a member of the Riverdance cast, touring the US and experiencing an extensive run on Broadway.
This experience proved inspirational to the young Sheridan, who began song-writing in New York as a form of creative expression.
Through Americana, he paid homage to the experience that shaped his artistry in this exploration of the contemporary US songbook.
For the singer, ‘Love and War’ epitomised another shift in direction, and his latest body of work is highly-anticipated.
With undeniable charisma and talent, Sheridan and long-time drummer Ronan Nolan captivate their audience with dynamic performances.
Earlier this year, Sheridan was awarded the overall grand prize at the International Acoustic Music awards.
Described as “intoxicating, powerful and incomparable,” he has his own unmistakable rhythmic energy.
